Has anyone had a chance to try the new Wolverine 1000 mile "Stockton" engineer boots? I'm anxiously awaiting for a black pair that I just bought. I'd love to see some pics if you guys have any or any comments from others who have them.

BTW, I have a pair of brown gaucho Frye's, 12R, in size 10.5 for sale. Worn around 5 times and like new. Firemedic669@hotmail.com is my email. $100 shipped to your door.

I have to disagree about the best boots too guys . Boy this will always be an argument, but I don't want laces on my boots for the once in a lifetime episode when they come loose and kill me while riding. I want engineers always.-- John

Yep...

Plus dealing with a mile of laces getting your boots on and off gets old real quick if you ride a lot and have to change shoes for work.

I've been down in engineers once and they did their job just fine, I don't think they are fashion boots at all, eveyone I know with over 250,000 miles on their bike wears engineers. The guys I ride with are way past trying to look cool.

I prefer cycle-specific boots myself. Just a preference. Yeah, they can look sorta Power Rangers, but they rock in the real world. Wouldn't trade 'em for anything.

I am also getting ready to purchase a brown pair of the Wolverine Stockton Engineer Boots. Same question, can anybody give us a review of these boots.

I agree about the laces issue - I would not want them on riding boots lest they get caught. My purpose-built riding boots have a combination of velcro flaps and adjuatable buckles (sort of like MX boots) to hold them on securely. With pants over them, they look pretty inconspicuous.

I've owned boots from pretty much all the known names and have settled on WESCOs. When I want a laced pair, I go for my Highliners, otherwise, my Harness or Boss. Totally worth the money IMO.

Welcome Peter to the addiction palace! Just got my new Sendra engineers. I have never had this brand before ( Spainish ) and I must say they fit very well, look good ( David Beckam boots ) and are comfortable. They are expensive around $300 and I believe for that price they should be lined. However my Wesco's aren't lined but heavier and thicker( and $100 dollars more ). We will just have to see. Will send pictures!--John
