Like most people on the planet, I've been following this crisis in the US, and today I read that a home-loan defaulter over there can just walk away when the banks foreclose...is this really true!!!! No wonder everybody takes out loans thay can't afford if this is so!
In this country you owe the money forever,until you pay it back or go bankrupt, and then they will take the clothes off your back. I'm serious, in extreme cases the sheriffs can come round and break your door down and take EVERYTHING or as they call it " goods to the value of".
Which is why in this country a bank manager has pretty much the same social standing as a child molester. However, our financial institutions aren't falling over....makes you think......
