Finally found a NOS replacement antenna for my 1941 Buick*.

Buy it now for $15 dollars. Thought "great, problem solved". See I had snapped the original when I drove into the garage and reversed out.

Just called the store and their "shipping dept. isn't set up for international". :(

(remove link if nec. but I doubt it will start a bidding war amonst FLers as it's BIN and there are ten of them).

H have you conversed with the seller about the issue? Many times they will bend "their" rules. Surely you can work something out?
Good luck!

$ 13.95 sounds steep for shipping, however if you want to have it shipped to me, I will send it to you as a "gift" but I think the second shipping might make it no longer cost effective.

If interested, PM me to exchange addresses

Nikki, I was sure they'd bend their rules that's why I called them. I was amazed when the guy told me that their store postal system wasn't set up for intl. I mean, could they not have just posted it to me? I get all my vintage from the states!

H that is really a shame... I can't believe how lazy people are and won't help someone out. All they have to do is actually GO to the post office, geeeez.
Looks like you'll get your antenna after all! Your car is beautiful.

What about the latest Postage Stunt on eBay?

The latest stunt on US eBay is postage.

Since the USPS changed some of its system the latest caper is to charge the Priority rate rather than the Flat rate and then claim that the system has changed and there is no other way than Priority. Even with Priority there are disparities when you add their "Handling Charges".

Even when you email them the facts... they don't care. So you end up paying at least USD10 more for items. The other stunt is "I don't have paypal" so you pay USD10 more for a money order and have none of the protection of paypal against dodgy traders.

The other nonsense is "we are set up for automatic emailing and delivery". Like they are not sole traders but there eBay site is their livelihood or some such part-time business.

This means emails take two days to answer and the postage is organized at YOUR expense and the sellers convenience.

What is happening to eBay?

Is it for the buyers or the sellers?:eusa_doh: :eusa_doh:

Behind the 8 ball,..
It works both ways,...

...or all ways. Postage seems to have gone through the roof all over the world. I emailed a request for postage on a camera I was interested in in the U.K. The person emailed back, (and in broken English) that postage for a little 35mm camera would be 48 pounds!!!  4 pounds more than the camera was bid up to at that point.
Sounds pretty shady to me. Is postage really that high in the U.K. now!?
