I've never seen a seller use an ebay auction as a tribute to their parents. This is touching and sweet, yet odd all at the same time, but the seller says this is not a real auction so no bids accepted. I've bought many hats from this seller:

So, SO TOUCHING, CaramelSmoothie! Thank you for this post, and the opportunity to gain some beautiful human perspective. Hats off to that family.

Hi there! I hope all is well with you!

Yes, I think this is a sweet tribute to her parents. I shouldn't use the word "odd" to describe it as that has negative connotations....It is "unusual", but it is effective in getting her message across of cherishing our time with our loved ones! She is a nice seller and all my dealings with her have been pleasant!

CaramelSmoothie - nice straw. How is the web site coming on?

Hi Kent! Thanks for asking. I am still working on photography skills although I have to admit I have not had much time for these last two months as I have been deep cleaning my home from top to bottom and getting rid of clutter and reorganizing everything. I have come up with an organization system for my hats that will help me with the site so that is an accomplishment. I have the logo designed and I think I have found a designer so all I need to do is work on my photography a little more and decide on what type of standard visual aspect I want my photos to have. So, it's been slow going for now but I will be ramping it up within the next 2 months!

I am confused. Size changes? Same seller, sold, not sold. What the heck??
:(

Maybe the seller initially thought it was a 7 1/4. Sold it to an esteemed member of the lounge. He returned it telling the seller it was a 7. Seller relists it with the correct size. None of our size 7 members wanted it (or saw it).

I posted the auction link for this hat to this thread the first time around. Though it shows the markings of a 1950s Nutria Quality western, it has some elements (1920s style ribbon bow, pencil curl, deep embossments, narrow stitching) that suggest an earlier production. The measurements listed by the seller are all over the place (4.5" open crown, 1 1/8" brim). Remains an interesting specimen that would be nice to document for the Stetson threads.
