Eatons Department Store - Toronto - 1921 Catalogue

[Two Types]

I was looking for vintage British sportwear catalogues and instead I stumbled across this, more than 600 pages of fashion etc from the Toronto department store Eatons in 1921. Menswear starts from around page 245. There's lots of it!

(I did a search, but couldn't find any sign of it having already been posted anywhere)

you always get these suits in early 20s catalogues. tough corduroy suits for the working man:

these trousers appear to have leather combination watch-pocket flaps and belt loops:

It was an historic event in 1976 when Eaton's issued its last ever catalogue. We still have a copy (not sure anyone needs to see THOSE vintage fashions!). Timothy Eaton started his first store just down the road from us in St. Marys, Ontario.

The chain sadly went under in the 90s, was briefly revived as an upscale division of Sears, but faded away for good soon after.
