That was something that got me a little Sam, the quilting looks a little small. Still it's not a bad looking jacket and I'm surprised that I haven't heard of anyone owning one. I would've thought for those not after an actual spec flying jacket this would've been a popular offering.

Well, I don't know - it's a really good looking jacket, true to period etc etc.... but at that price, it's going to be selling to even more of a niche market than the mil spec designs, I'd have thought. Bearing in mind that the mil spec items are faithful replicas to a degree that you can't find outside of a small number of specialists, whereas this style of jacket - or something very close to it - can easily be picked up at a much lower cost. Maybe not the the same quality, but a lot of folks will not want to spend that kind of money on a style of jacket that they can find elsewhere for a lot less. Great looking jacket, though....

Edward I think you have hit the nail on the head.

Also probably explains why I have never heard of anyone owning one.

When Gary announced that he had introduced the Air Comfort there was much speculation on another forum as to how it would sell. A few years on, it would be interesting to see the figures. My own feeling was that civilian jackets of a similar style from the 60s and 50s (and even, to some extent from the 40s) by Sears, MW and W&G etc., are relatively common in good condition and are very cheap compared to their military equivalents. Why, I thought, would people buy a repro of a cheap, available jacket? I may be proved wrong, but I haven't yet met anyone who has bought an Air Comfort...

I like the B-15 style throat latch.
