E-Bay Feedback?

I'd like the opinions of fellow loungers as both E-Bay buyers and sellers with a feedback issue. Would it be OK to email a seller to ask them to leave me feedback for a completed transaction? I paid for and received an item I won, and left the seller positive feedback three weeks ago, but still no feedback from them. Now, I know sellers can get really busy, so I'm giving this seller the benefit of the doubt, as, maybe they just forgot, are overwhelmed with business and/or personal issues, I'm not presuming malice on their part, since it was an issue free transaction; they have my money, I have my item. What do you think?

I think a short polite reminder wouldn't hurt at all. People forget, and if the transaction was positive, there shouldn't be a problem. I know some sellers include a reminder when they send shipping notifications. Works both ways. :)

I would - Ive had sellers ask me for feedback before. Im incredibly slack at leaving feedback.

Though I know some sellers may do it all at the end of the month maybe?

As a seller, I will not leave feedback until I receive it. I have no negative feedback and, despite several friendly reminders, I have had a few buyers who have expressed no dissatisfaction, but have not left feedback for me. I wouldn't mind the extra point but, as it doesn't change my percentage, I don't mind much.

On Hiatus. Really. Or Not.
By all means email them...

But be aware that positive feedback from SELLERS doesn't mean much anymore since that's all they can leave. BUYERS can still leave negative or neutral feedback. They way I see it now (although I have nearly 400 feedbacks -- about 85% as a buyer) pestering sellers for feedback is hardly worth it.

Feedback is supposed to be voluntary. You're buying an item, not buying feedback.

Anyway, with all the changes at ebay, it's not worth pestering the seller(s) about it.

Thanks for all your valuable input! I actually, finally received feedback from the seller in question. I'm really conscientious about leaving sellers positive feedback if it's been an uneventful, successful transaction, but prior to the E-Bay changes with buyers only being able to receive positive feedback, have had sellers not leave me any feedback after I've left them positive feedback. It's an integrity, reciprocation thing for me, even if buyers' received feedback doesn't mean much now.
