Dress forms

I posted in the Powder room, but I think this might have been a better spot. I just got a dress form from a friend. They got it at a garage sale. It needs some TLC. I wondering if there was a right way or wrong way to clean it up and reajust it?

I would wager that the best people to answer this would be at your local fabric store.

That would work. However, they come off being not the sharpest tool.

What's it made of? is it a cover that's removable and washable or a solid piece

I hope others might have some info as well! I have two old ones like this,

They are a pale olive green with three claw type feet.
I took them apart when we moved and now for the life of me cannot get them back the way they were. I'm using 'zip ties' to keep one together but it's not correct.

Maybe someone on the costume groups I am on knows, I'll ask!

From thoughts to fabric

I would love to find a good dress form, pref. one that goes up to an 18, (because I am no twig) but i have had all these designs in my head I would love to start putting them on fabric. All vintage inspired. Should I find what I m looking for, I will start posting the dresses and maybe some people will be interested in them. I even have an awesome wedding dress in mind, should I ever remarry
