Double Zipper Question

I'd really like to turn the zipper on my Vanson Enfield into a double so that
when I drive, I can unzip the bottom so it doesn't bunch up.
I assume all I have to do is the following:
- obtain a new slider from Vanson
- pry off the little staple thing at the top of the zipper
- remove the existing slider and put it back on upside down
- slide the new slider on
- recrimp the staple thing at the top
Am I missing something?
This seems too simple.
Any hints or tricks for doing this?
Thanks all.

The double-ended zipper has a completely different set-up at the bottom of the zipper, so you can't actually convert a single pull zipper to a double-ended zipper. The bottom pull of the double-ended zipper has an internal "stop" that keeps it from falling off the end of the zipper, the same way the metal box at the bottom of a single pull zipper stops the pull from falling off the end of the zipper. A full zipper replacement will be necessary...
