Yeah, he lived for awhile in my adopted city of Rochester New York. I think I saw some of his old jackets in the Salvation Army Thrift Store up the street today! No, probably not, but...it's possible?

BegintheBeguine - a bit off topic, but I think I know the shop you mean. While attending the UofR we found sharkskin/zoot suits and two tone wingtips in a local thrift shop - fortunately nobody at the University knew that we had done the same while at boarding school so it still seemed spontaneous and creative.
Looking back at my time in Rochester I am somewhat surprised at how easlily we found good men's wear - including some off the peg clothing that actually fit!
fftopic: Cool!. The Salvation Army Thrift Store I go to is the one on West Avenue, within walking distance, so that probably is the one you mean. The U 0f R is also within walking distance if I feel up to it. I live off of Genesee Park Boulevard. There were some good department stores in the olden days: Xerox, Kodak and Bausch and Lomb execs and their wives had to look nice, after all. Some of the heirs are still cleaning out closets.
the duke of windsor had a very similar suit but in red tartan which had belonged to his father. Apparently it was his clothing choice for hosting dinners.
I have been watching Don "Grapes" Cherry for years on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada which I receive on my cable system. He wears the clothing to distinguish himself from all others as a former coach and commentator in the hockey world. He is very popular in Canada and was in the top 10 of the Top 100 Greatest Canadians in the CBC poll last year.
Canada, here are your Top 10 Greatest Canadians, in order of votes received:
