I did suppose it might be H&M, but you'd think that, for branding purposes, they would have bothered to put in the ampersand. Skimming the surface of what the internet turned up, I couldn't find any German-WWII-style leather trench coats manufactured by that maker. (I tried JCM as well, with a similar harvest of nada).
I also thought it might be an aftermarket addition, a personal monogram, since it was clearly hand stitched in. But since the fabric appears to be of the exact same satin as the lining, I figured it for an in-house job.
Anyway, this is the only thing like a tag of any sort, and I was just curious. It's a nice enough coat, in any case.
