Hey guys .. bought my first non akubra .. it was cheapish :). It's a Charles Tyrwhitt Black Wool Felt Fedora (2 1/4 " brim).

The label inside is "Charles Tyrwhitt" - the mail order shirt manufacturers from Jermyn Street, London. The hat itself is of really good construction ... I just wondered if any of you hat ghurus had any idea of the original manufacturer ????

Thanks in advance.

The word "Wool" means it is a cheap factory hat. An at 29 pounds it is . But it will let you see if you like wearing a hat. I like how the model never wears the hat on the website.

An that it only comes in brown. Don't get caught out in an English downpour with it. As wool hats are not made to withstand a hard rain.

Denton Hats makes a wool fedora in this price range, the Goodwood - could be a special run for Tyrwhitt. Whoever makes it, wool fedoras aren't the best choice. I notice Tyrwhitt's is sized S-M-L so a proper fit would be serendipitous.
