Have you tried those online stores that sell reproductions?

I had a girl come into the thrift-shop where I volunteer. She was looking for one as well. She was paying Miss Scarlet in a "Clue"-themed house-party. I told her the best bet she had was to try find one online.

Such things were highly personal items, and tended to be used until they were broken or lost, so not many were saved. Eventually everything shows up on eBay, but you'd likely end up paying a pretty good price. Your best bet might be to just take your chances looking around the trinket cases in neighborhood antique shops -- someone might have one without realizing how scarce they are.

One important thing watch out for if you do find a used one -- it might still have nicotine residue on it, and if you're not a smoker, this can easily make you sick if you put it in your mouth. (This happened to me as a result of using one in a stage show when I was about your age.) If you find a used one, clean it thoroughly before handling it too much.

I see cigarette holders daily on Tradera (which is the name of eBay's Swedish site. They rarely go for more than 10 dollars.

Another thing is that a original 20's one may not fit a modern cigarette, repro might be the way to go and if you found a few ols photos you could decorate it to look genuine.
