I recently obtained this beautiful lid on ebay. It's a very fine, well made fedora. Unfortunately it's not for me. I just don't like the way it looks on me. I'm willing to pass it on for what I paid for it. It is a size 7 1/4. PM me if interested.

It's a 7 1/4. I know because I was watching the auction from day one, I just didn't have the money, and I still don't or I'd buy it right now.

To anybody not in the know, the "Forty" means it cost $40 when new, which makes it a VERY high end hat, considering the average price at the time was around $10-$15.

What's the bash? Brim size?

The brim is almost 2 1/2". The bash is C crown, but it will hold a center dent or whatever you desire. The ribbon is 2".

It's more a tan color or light brown. I'll try to get a couple of pictures out in the natural light.
