Do Jaxon's run big, small or neutral?
I haven't decided between the “rude boy” “sinatra” or the “blues”.
Is the rude boy & sinatra available in something other than black?

A sad tale, but 'tis true

I suspect that they might run large as a 7 1/2 Jaxon Monk that I had bought for my brother, whom I had mismeasured as that size instead of his correct 7 3/8, was far too large for me, and I am a 7 1/2. However, The Village Hat Shop had sold the Monk and the hats that you mentioned before the introduction of the Jaxon line, so while that might not reflect accurately on Jaxon hats in general, it may be indicative of what you could expect from those hats. Before Jaxon was used, The Village Hat shop sold those hats, and a few others under the same name as their store (the category and some hats that aren't Jaxons still exists). I had presumed, before Jaxon was introduced that they were all manufactured by Bilmore, as I bought a Cagney from them that was manufactured by Builtmore, but that was either changed or was never true to begin with.

The Village Hat Shop has a quite reasonable return policy, which I can vouch for from a past experience, so you wouldn't risk much in ordering one in your proper size, then finding that it is ill fitting.

Lamentably because I bought the Monk that I referred to in the middle of November to exploit a sale and had it shipped to my family's home in Pennsylvania, but gave the hat as a Christmas present without properly testing it myself, as I was in Albany until shortly before Christmas, it was too late to return it. That certainly taught me a lesson about measuring and responsibility.

In my experience, they run small. I ordered their Bowler and their Rocky, both in 7 5/8. Neither of them even came close to fitting my head, whereas other 7 5/8 hats fit me just fine. Their return policy is good; aside from the shipping cost I incurred sending them back, I was completely refunded.

Jaxon hats were made in China. Now I think that Village hat shop may be having a problem as the company that produces the hats signed a contract to have a different company distribute them here in the US.
