Ok....this is probably a silly request, but I am going to ask it anyway. I have two fedoras that I wear, one brown, the other black. They have a triangular crease. I don't know what that kind of crease is called. As a matter of fact, I don't know what different kinds of creases or fedora types there are. Is there a thread that I can go to and see the different types, i.e., "Open Road", etc? I really like my hats and I want to learn all that I can about these great lids. Thanks in advance.

I think you're asking about fedora shapes or "bashes." There is a sticky thread towards the top of this forum titled "Hat creases" which should help you out a great deal.

The Open Road is a model of hat made by Stetson. I.E. - You're talking about models, not shapes, when you mention the Open Road. The Open Road, like most other fur felt (and some wool felt) fedoras, can be shaped or "bashed" any way you like. Some easier than others.

Gentlemen, thank you so much for the help. I truly appreciate your kindness. Thanks to you fine gentlemen, I now know that I have a "teardrop" crease in my hats. Life is good.
