Just picked this up tonight on eBay:

1940s PINSTRIPE GANGSTER SUIT Double Breasted Wool gab

If it's as advertised, it should fit with very little alteration. It seems to be in good shape. I think I got a pretty good deal on it and I'm pretty excited because this is my first real vintage (not vintage-inspired or vintage-styled) suit.

Pardon the crappy, crappy pictures. What do you guys think?

Looks like you got a good deal! the poor pictures help for those looking for a bargain...I watched this one end and was surprised that it ended so low...especially since there's been a shortage of listings lately (past couple of weeks)

Although a specific size wasn't mentioned, the seller gave measurements of the jacket... (20 1/2 arm pit to arm pit = 41" chest)

41" would generally indicate a size 37.

While I can understand why it didn't get bid way up due to the holes, they sound pretty minor unless someone needs it to be perfect.

So I would say not the steal of the cnetury, but better than fair price for it. PRetty hard to go wrong t that price. But to get a nice pinstripe rather than a dull plain blue or whatever, I would say great deal.

You're right about that, on second look. Sorry, "dropped belt loops" I believe they're called.
