Over the weekend I went to a car show at the local casino, which went pretty well. A group of German teen fans of the "Twlight" books/movies was passing by the town I live in on their way to Forks, WA after flying into Portland that morning. They needed to stop at the gas station in town just as I was putting a couple of gallons in the Jeep's tank before heading to the car show. Imagine their surprise, seeing a Jeep there. I was besiged by a couple of dozen of them, I'm sure my Jeep is on Facebook sites all over Germany right now. They seemed awfully disappointed when I told them I'd only been to Forks once and wasn't terribly impressed (I'm sure they were more disappointed once they actually got there after flying all the way from Europe, there's nothing in that town).
When I showed up at the show, another Jeep from the area that has been hitting all the local car shows since it was restored last year was there, so I just parked next to it as the owners are pretty nice folks.

Some of the things inside the jeep, the only modern thing is the sign with the stats for this vehicle:

I can't believe someone would turn this into a hot rod, even if it is just a kit car:
And look what someone did to this poor Power Wagon:
My wife got us some better cell phones recently, and I tested the camera out on the way back from the show on a back road (for background on the cell phone's screen), I wish I'd broken out the good camera for this shot:
I later played around with that shot and good some decent effect with it:
