French hat buyers are having to pay pretty prices for their hats too. This one a Mossant in about 7 1/4. A super high quality hat maker. Well worth the price at about $150.

They seem to be pretty thin on the ground over this side too. Maybe that explains the prices. I got a nice one recently which i'll show here soon.

Mossant was by far the most famous of the "best" French hatmakers. They were France's answer to Borsalino.


The Oviatt's menswear store sold Mossant fedoras as early as the 1920s; it was the only French brand that they carried.
