Hey guys,

So I ordered my Fed Dlx from HatsDirect on Monday, and I am trying to convince myself it will be here really soon. Whether you wish to help with this hope, or shatter it, all you need do is this:

Simply post the number of days it took for your hat to reach you from HatsDirect.

Thanks everyone.

Ordered some time Tuesday, exchange of one or two mails to confirm size (and find one that turned out to be exactly right, by the way, a "larger 59"), sent Wednesday, received next Wednesday, so altogether

Just this week in fact ...
Ordered Wednesday or Thursday a week ago, had to do some size verifying so the order processed on Friday, recieved Tuesday in Orlando.
So ... 4-5 days including weekend? Paid for the shipping upgrade, not sure how that factored in

No, not the 'slow' air mail service....you didn't ?

That's the Bi-plane option plan you went for? oh dear:eusa_doh:

Well from their Australian depot, that 'plucky little wood and canvas inter-war plane' makes it's way north out of Oz and across the jungles of indonesia and deepest, darkest southeast Asia. Then there's the Himalayas to cross with 'your' hat. Some sand storms to negotiate over the deserts, then the pyramids as he follows up the Nile. Skipping along the north coast of Africa and across the Med into Spain. Up through Spain and France, then across the Engish Channel, up the east coast of the UK. Then skipping over to the Shetlands, then Greenland into Newfoundland, dropping down and winding his way across the US to your postal depot to get sorted!!!

How many months boys did you say this budget air mail option took?

Thanks guys.

I also opted for the slower delivery, by their recommendation, and that was listed as 5-10 days. I wasn't sure if that was working days, or included weekends, and I also wanted to see if people found this to be an accurate sort of waiting time.

So far all you guys and COW seem to be suggesting that about 10 days is average, with a few people being lucky with faster deliveries.

I'm really unbearable when I am waiting for a parcel, though.

Paddy,

yesyes, but the other option, "courier", just means that a courier personally takes care of your hat, but still takes the same route, so why should I pay for that? Maybe he likes it and tries it on, and I can't break it in anymore then and never get the pomade out.

So I should get mine SOONER than Americans? Maybe they can just drop my hat out of the plan as it flies over.

Sweet.
