Could be a gem, or a dud...

But at a bargain price I couldn't pass it up:

50's? Wool or fur? Hard to tell.

"Vintage 1950's men's unique olive green felt fedora hat has a black leather inside band marked canada L. has a 1 3/4" wide tan outside band . In good condition, a little soilage on front looks like water stain. Could be cleaned. Measures 8 '' long on inside opening & 22 1/4" around the inside."

A "Large" ought to be a 7 1/8 to a 7 1/4, and the 22 1/4 measurement doesn't match this. However, we all know how difficult it is to measure the circumference of a hat. If it doesn't fit I'll find a new home for it. [huh]

All of the above could be right on target. But DeanGlen and others have done some nice hat dressing-up with less expensive models, and that ribbon could easily disappear.

The one thing that will really make a difference is whether it's wool or fur. It does have a wool-ish look to it.
