Cool pics on posts

Hello,

I've been admiring the cool pics some of you have under your names on your posts. I have a real nifty pic of the Three Stooges that I would like to use with mine. How do I do that?

It's easy.

Look on the top purple bar for "User CP". Click that and it will take you to a page where you can play with all your settings. Look at the list on left for "Edit Avatar" and click it. Follow the instructions and you should be set.

You may also have to reduce the size of the image to make it fit into the Avatar box. Most software will do this; if you don't happen to have any, go to www.irfanview.com and download the free graphic program Irfanview. It's a pretty powerful tool for a free program.

When the program is installed, open it, then click the "Open File" icon, browse to your picture and open it - then click Image - Resize - use something like 100 pixels tall - and use "Save As" to save it with a DIFFERENT name than the original, or you'll overwrite the original file!

You may have to try a couple of dirrent sizes, but you'll get it. You can then use the User CP in the Fedora Lounge to upload the edited photo.
