Contrast stitching options

Hi lads,

Planning next aquisition and I am thinking about a tan steer type 3.... not to everyone's taste i know but a jacket I've long had a sneaking love for. Thing is, seems to me that it's a good candidate for contrast stitching. What do you lot think goes best with tan colored hide? And what would you guys get in the lining?

Cheers for your help as always....

I'd agree. Olive drab or maybe a light off white akin to what might be used on a corduroy type III. You could go with a mix of yellow and orange like pair of jeans maybe. That might be on the border of what's tasteful though.

Olive stitching looks great with dark hides!
But I think it starts to look a bit odd when the only contrast is color and not tone....ie on lighter hides.

I kind of agree, I think off-white or light grey might be the way to go. What do you think about liner options? It would be worn with only a T shirt so a light liner might get pit stained in the long run. Dunno if the jacket style suits a tartan though....

I think a lighter weight lining would be good...
Jim currently drawn to the cotton Camo lining like Himel Bros or Kelso have- but I don't know why...
