I’ve been consulting with and discussing some new styles with Colchester Rubber Co here’s me sporting their Dead Grass color-way. Odd thing is they are quite lively! I’ll have to take them on a long perambulation tonight. Before Converse and Nike and Adidas was versing Puma, there was a man named Colchester. I’m working on more info to explain their importance, so be aware... it’s an interesting story that twists and turns through US Rubber, basketball, and war. I’ll also reveal if they dance or not.

yes, THE first basketball sneaker possibly/probably designed by/for the inventor of the sport. Cool story based on what limited information is out there. thanks again

Love my black high tops from Colchester, they are my go-to sneakers.

I'm also awaiting impatiently for the release of the US Rubber Co. range!

I just discovered this brand and I am thinking to buy a pair, I suppose the first original ones are the "brown" dead grass color, is it correct? Anyone knows when the navy color came out? In converse I wear a 8.5 (42 EU) would I need a 9 here?
Thank you

Original? I bought my pair of black some years ago from Japan. They did I think one batch of black, navy, white, brown and green in hi top and low and were all sold out. That is before the current American owners picked up the business.

For original I mean the color they made in 1892, I suppose it was brown only, while navy and other probably came much later, am I correct

I haven't noticed that Nike, Converse, and Adidas have started to produce similar shoes as Puma. If you compare Adidas and Puma, they may have similar models, but they are still different. Adidas produces various models of shoes, and most of them are cooler than the Puma. Take, for example, the Adidas Yeezy 350 Boost V2. I bought them a couple of months ago, and they are still in perfect condition. I wear them for running, hiking, and they don't have any damage, unlike the Puma's shoes. However, whatever model of this brand I wouldn't buy, it began to look not good after a couple of months.

Never saw any further reviews on these sneaks. Anyone else got a pair who could say how they wear compared with Chucks?

found my own answer. Bought a pair. Very nice indeed, nicely packaged in Victorian newspaper, extra pair of laces attached. Far more comfortable, better cushioning and arch support than the Chuck 70s.
