Cocktail Parties at Hotels

COCKTAIL EVENT/PARTY: Not a rant per say. More of poking fun. When someone hosts a party at a hotel and calls it a cocktail party. You show up to find something like the photo below. Some dude who a few hours ago was a bellboy who has a few bottles of booze and some soda. He has nothing to measure with. He might only have plastic cups and ice from plastic bags. Why does the hotel A) Think this is ok? B) Charge crazy money for it like it's Gordon Ramsey making you dinner? Cocktail party? From a drink stand point it's more of a tailgate party. Luckily it's free for those of us who attend. But as someone who has hosted... it's lame. Better to have a beer or a glass of wine then have this guy make you a "cocktail".
