Cleaning the lining on an A2

Have any of you fellas ever cleaned or had cleaned the liner of an A2?
It's not really "showing" signs of grime as I am really very careful, but I wonder if I should do any preventative maintenance, so to speak?

Soft bristle brush, horse groom brush with strap for hand perfect, very mild soap and hang inside out on strong hanger get in shower and using warm water soap up and wipe down the cloth works a treat. Don't be tempted to use hot water, and rinse with cold water. Dry naturally not on radiator as this will shrink lining. Good luck. IanC

Butte: Leave it alone. That is another itch you don't need to scratch. If it ain't dirty, don't clean it.

Probably you could spray it with Scotchguard as a preventitive, but my question would be why bother? The lining is on the inside of the jacket, and stains don't much find their way to that part of the jacket.

When I get a new HH jacket...Butte...I just coat it with vaseline inside and out. Protects...and slips off and on easier, too. However..last year I switched to Vick's vaper rub for the wonderful fragrance. Be sure and hand rub it in real good..until not so sticky...then you're good to go..:D:cool:

I only use Vicks on my winter jackets thank you. For summer, I just use lemon Pledge. It leaves a nice breeze behind me... :eeek:
