I got this in a lot of porkpies the other day. The rest were either too big or too small, but this one is a keeper for sure. I'm trying to keep my personal collection manageable, so I'm switching it in, in exchange for one of my first hats, a modern summer scala porkpie (which isn't really all that nice a hat, and is similar enough, at least in styling, to ditch now that I have this)
The champ is a flat top (do flat top hats count as porkpies?). It has one of the widest, at 2-5/8", and in my opinion, coolest ribbons I've seen. The ribbon is grossgrain, in a salmon hue, with 4 black stripes. It has a back bow, as well.
brown leather sweat, with very redundant marking. One stamp says champ Milan, the other stamp says champ milan imported.
Brim is 2"
crown is 4"
I'm thinking mid '50s.
That sound right to you all?
