Honestly, you should do what I do, make a map of thrift stores in the area, and schedule bi-monthly visits on the days they get new shipments in. I live in north Santa Barbara county and have paid peanuts for vintage items that go for 100's of dollars in LA and San Francisco. Unlike the thrift stores in metropolitan areas, clothing in rural and small town thrift stores are'nt sent to rag houses first where the dealers get first dibs. Even though you'll walk away empty handed 95% of time, when you do find something the price will make it all worth it. Trust me, it works.
