Where would one go to get a vintage 40's or 50's liner?

Unfortunately, I think the only way is to find a 1940's or 50's Cavanagh that you don't want and take the liner out of it.

You could put an ad in the classified section. Perhaps someone who doesn't fancy liners has removed one from just such a hat, and it's just laying about waiting for a more appreciative hat/owner.
