Car Vase

Back in the day when life was more civilized, folks had vases for flowers in their cars. Have been looking for one for a coon's age with no luck, so have decided to try to fiddle one on my own.

I have a neat old green-glass bottle about 11/4" by 2" by 7". I would like to afix this to the dash of my Cherokee, but other than using ugly and de classe duct tape, have had no brilliant ideas as to how to install it. In my last truck I had a piece of capped copper pipe screwed to the dash with a pipe bracket, which cause groans of consternation in my more delicate passengers. I am trying to do this one without drilling "unsightly" holes in the dash, supposing of course one could find any plastic skookum enough to handle it.

Any ideas please and thank you?

I've always liked those too. Someday I want to get my hands on a Model A, and many of the restored examples have these, and I know that there are many Model A Suppliers online such as Mac's, etc that will have those. I've seen them in there before, but they didn't fit the motif of our Model A done as a 50s hot-rod.

Thanks for the link Dixie, I did get some good ideas there about how to make a clip. Sure are dinky little bud vases though eh? I'm needing something for a great honkin' bouquet of wild flowers.

Tom: Mac's? Googled it, didn't hit.
