This fabric is Calvary Twill 100% Cotton, and looks and feels very close to Marc Chevalier's Whipcord Workwear Cap:

I picked up the last of the bolt in Los Angeles: 3 1/2 yards.

The pricing of the fabric will make it a high end cap to use the Dashing Tweeds. Just like the good Dongal

I can't get over the old horsehide cap - amaaazing. Wouldn't it be heavy??

I would be glad to own a horsehide cap and missed out on the Mister Freedom Horsehide Leather Cap that Che has! I have many leather caps. They are my first choice and cotton next. I don't even consider tweeds or anything that resembles it. This is what I have to put up with in leather for the moment!

Doesn't look like a hard pill to swallow, Howard! Really nice look, and great with the eyeglass frames. You're sure getting more confident with the larger diameter sizes, and it suits you.
