Canvas top hat

I don't know how to post pictures so I apologize. I recently bought this top hat at a Salvation Army for $3.50. It's a canvas top hat. On the inside it says hand made by the hot hatter. It also says "canvas & wood we make it look good, Boulder creek cal. Can anyone give me an idea of what I have here?? Thanks!
