That's over the top? Give me a coupla days I can come up with something that will make your eyes bleed. And to top it off, I'll guarantee that it's an ensemble that I actually wore!:D

unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of it, but in my younger and not so subtle days, my favorite outfit was a pair of pants with a smallish houndstooth, b&w, a jacket with a large b&w houndstooth and a white shirt with varying sizes of black polka dots. I vaguely remember there being a tie involved, but can't for the life of me remember what it looked like. A few years later, different shirt and red bow tie it doubled as a Halloween costume, PeeWee Herman. Nuff said.

You do get quite the moire effect with all of those parallel lines. However for true eye-clashing disharmonics, you can always rely on plaids. I would nominate an outfit of bias-cut trews in Macmillan combined with a short jacket in Buchanan.

Verily, the Clash of the Tartans.

Be sure to take a look over at the suits forum and check the stanleyvanburen thread. The second picture he posted is a 3 stripe element combo that looks great! Not quite the hypnotic effect conveyed by the first picture in this thread, though. I was surprised to see 3 stripe elements work so well together, my initial inclination would be that it would not be attractive. Thats one of the real values of seeing outfits assembled by others.
