Hello—
I just found this great little fedora in a vintage store. It looks like a 1930s profile to me — as does the Art Deco logo. It’s got a 2” brim and is lovely thin and soft felt. I’ve never heard of this company and google doesn’t reveal much. Would love to know more if anyone has any information or educated guesses.

Thanks

David

Welcome to the Lounge!

This is the first I’ve seen of this brand. I tried googling as well it’s all kinds of different combinations and came up with absolutely nothing. Not a peep.

I agree with you, it looks like it could very well be a 30s hat. The unsewn sweatband in the back is often a sign of a 20s hat.

There were many hat companies around the US and Canada at the time.

How does the felt feel?

Daniel

If the felt is maleable then it is at least a nice hat :)

The hat also appears unreeded, meaning the sweatband is directly onto the felt. This could also be a sign of a pre-40s hat. The tear at the back of the ribbon bow is also an earlier style.

Is it possible to look under the sweatband, towards the back of the hat? There should be some sort of reorder tag glued to the felt. There is a small possibility that the tag might help with dates. There is also a tiny possibility that there will be a date stamped behind the sweatband.

If you look, do it very, very carefully so as not to tear the sweatband threads.

It looks like a great little find and a lot of fun. If you turn into a collector you’ve come to the right place!

Great digging! Very interesting. The felt is in very good condition and very soft and pliable. Seems like it was a quality hat. Love the logo, as well.

Thanks for the research!
