Can you identify this hat's make and style?

Video captures from home movies shot in 1947, My uncle was 17 years old on a trip to New York, and I wondered if anyone can figure out the make and style of fedora he has on in these shots

He's on the right. I think it looks like a shiny finish straw.

Hard to say, but it is the classic look

No way to tell, honestly. Picture isn't any different than that of a crowd at the ballpark during the 40's. Could be a Stetson, Dunlap, Dobbs, Mallory....you just don't know without seeing the inner liner, or a sharp color pic like many post here.
