Can you help to indentify this suit?

[/IMG]Here is a suit my grandfather wore very often. I was able to rescue it from his closet after he passed away. It looks to be a wool blend with a herringbone pattern. I would like to know when it was made (see tag) and what you all think of it. What kind of shirt would go with it it? Tie? I am really partial to suspenders.

Looks like May 10, 2000 ???

I'd say either a white or sky blue broadcloth shirt with suspenders and let them do the busy talking.

I'd say that Marc would know more about it.

He wore this suit in the early 70s for sure so I recon the 50s is right.
