I posted this in the Memphis photos thread but thought it was worthy of posting here also. We visited Major Moore's shop "Buckaroo Hatters" the next morning after the Memphis meet. It was sooo cool seeing his stuff and learning some of the process. I think we could have done the meet there and fired up a grill and talked hats the whole weekend! lol lol There were some incredible hats there! He can do westerns or fedoras. If you are anywhere near Memphis give him a ring, it is well worth the trip to see his shop and get some firsthand details from him!
The hat 2nd from the right on top is a butternut color and is so nice when you see it in person! It would be great on a fedora with a bound brim! As is the brown with the whip stitch, which makes me wonder something, I will have to PM him!
Duck wearing his Jimmy Pierce and talking to Mike off camera.
I have to say though you cannot tell by my pics these are not the super thick type hats you find in a cheap western store. The fedoras and his westerns are super smooth and soft felts, and it was incredible to be able to see them and feel all the different types!
The Major doing some steaming on either Duck's or Warbird's hat I believe. And the hat on the shelf is RBH's which is really nice looking!
Two satisfied Buckaroo hatters customers! They will be getting customs for Christmas also!
