This past weekend I was at the shop and tried to capture a few short videos.
I hope in the future I can get more and I get better!
First up is Mike blocking a hat blank on the ''modern'' finger blocker.

The 2nd is Rocky blocking the ''old'' way.

He picked a beaver just like this but in black.

That was great Rusty , Thanks . I remember the first time I heard about Mike and Buckaroo Hatters on Tennessee Cross Roads years ago on PBS out of Memphis . Always wanted to go ever since . They have at least part of that interview and spotlight on their site . (as you know , pretty sure)

Super interesting to see these! I note the steamer being used really puts out some heavy steam! Wish we had one that nice!

Very interesting vids. It's always fascinating watching craftsmen doing their thing.. That boomerang like thing used in the hat blocking vid looks like a useful tool......I guess I know what my next woodworking project will be.
