Brown Fedora Felt Hard Hat, 7 1/2LO-5/8

Okay, here's an odd one. Marked nothing more than "XXX Beaver".
I'm guessing it must have started life as a trooper hat or something,
based on the grommets for a cord and how darn stiff it is. By stiff I
mean STIFF. Almost as stiff as a derby, and four times as thick.
The fiinish is a bit rough, a bit dirty, and possibly mothed, but I
couldn't find any bites for sure. There is some staining on the ribbon.

Don't even think about re-bashing it, unless you have a hat shop.

I have kept it around because, well, where will I find another?
Surely there will be some time when I will need to wear a fedora
in a dangerous situation? But the truth is, it doesn't fit me. It's
marked 7 1/2 Long Oval, but it's really more like a 7 5/8 or maybe even
7 5/8 Long Oval. It rattles on my 1/2 LO head just a touch in both directions.

Note the small rip in the sweatband in the image above. Otherwise
the sweatband is fine.

Edit: almost forgot- that's about a 2 5/8" brim.
