Brought suit in for cleaning - question

Hola amigos,

I recently brought one of my suits in to the cleaners. Instead of the short exchange limited to "when do you want it back", I was asked how I wanted it cleaned, just standard steamed (?) or "hand brushed, finished and steamed".

I was a bit unprepared - has anyone every heard of this before?

Sounds like a wallet-thiner, if you catch my drift, but it would be interesting to see what they are.

Used to be a time when you could just have your suit pressed and sponged. This should be cheaper than running the suit through the machines. What is the price difference?
