BK: Out of interest, which features make you think the date is sixties? The 8inch trouser cuffs and the vented jacket point me in that direction. But to be honest I struggle with pictures of suits of this style. It certainly does have the look of the suits worn by older men at wedding anywhere between 1950 and 1980.

Oops. I did not notice that it has a vent - sorry. That would be suspect indeed. Come to think of it these kind of subdued tiny stripes in the fabric are another thing often found in the 60's. The lapels and overall cut are very conservative though.
 
For me it's principally the jacket. I also didn't notice the vent, but it adds to the list of things to count against it, re: date. Basically, it looks exactly like all the photos of my grandfather from the era 1965-1985.

Pocket flaps - size/depth of.

Fabric - very mod indeed.

Lack of boutonniere hole. Lapels too wide

Waistcoat construction just "not right". Something to do with the darts and pocket placement. i can't quite pin it down, but not right.
