I think tweed fedoras or trilbies were meant to be low-crowned, for a reason. High crowns only really work with fur felt fedoras, homburgs, bowlers, western/cowboy, or top hats.

I don't have any problems with the height, but I think the bash and the way it caves on the sides looks pretty dumb. I don't really like the tweed/wool hats anyway. On the plus side, maybe it'll give someone an idea for a new look that does work. Who knows...
 
Well, it is Boy George; an awfully flamboyant chap. he has a number of hats that seem to be made and creased in that way. I like his various looks, especially his velvet hats.
