Great series. Binged it all.
I watched and enjoyed the first series which has a lot going for it - evocation of mood, great casting, marvelous use of LA locations, but ultimately I thought it lacked vitality and freshness to be anything more than an above average police procedural. There just weren't enough surprises or new ideas or enough clever dialogue to elevate it.
