I used to wear this hat without a pinch but this way makes it look less formal. My head must be expanding cause this seems a bit snug these days.

FF, The binding was removed before I got it. I don't think it looks to bad though.Not having a binding gives it a less stuffy appearance.
Nope,Jon that is not one of Marcs.I am going to try changing my avatar every couple of days so I can show more hats.One of Marcs will come up.
Thanks JD, it does have some minor flaws but they are too small to complain about and I basically wore this hat into the ground. I like the clean simple bow. my biggest beef is that it is a bit small and I can't tell if it is sitting too high on my head.

Oh No Mr. H, Absolutely Not. I sent out this one and four others for cleaning and repairs to Duane. I would not trust a fine vintage hat to a dry cleaners.

Another beauty from your fine collection, Douglas. I wouldn't worry about it riding too high on your head. I think homburgs are meant to be riding a bit high.

Astaire, there is always that fine line between what feels comfortable on ones head and what may be a tad too small. This one is on the boarder line.
I do agree though this style should not be riding on the ears.Seeing some older photos they all seem to be higher on the head. Maybe to protect the hair style. Since my hair has thinned and my forehead has gotten larger I get a great seal with most hats and rarely have a problem with them blowing off.
