This is a wonderful hat. Soft, soft, soft.It has a nice widish brim at 2-1/2" and it increadably comfortable. i love the color as well, kind of a soft mouse gray with a light lavender ribbon and it is my size which is always a bonus.
my Borsalino Pocket Hat is also "Extra-Extra Superiore" and
also from Minelli of Florence. Mine came with a leather sweat,
which I had to replace. I wonder if that was a model sold
only through that store...
Felt fan I was thinking about your hats when I saw this one. Steven I am truely sorry But I had to have it.
Dinerman I have not built up enough gumption to try to roll it yet
The liner in this hat is really nice. The sweat has got a nice hand threaded detail on it but Feltfans collection is special.
Okay, I'm looking and looking, Dinerman. Where do you
see "Leo/ Fabrizi"?
Douglas, my collection would fit inside your collection 10 times...
The Pocket Hat is a joy, though, as I'm sure yours is too. I haven't
rolled mine yet, either, though I wouldn't worry about it. The only
problem I have rolling that Featherweight is that the stitching in the
bow sometimes comes loose. Easy to fix.
[and if Mauricio Gris is reading, I know I owe you pix and will do so soon!]
AH-HAA!! A quality, stunning, vintage fedora with a sweatband other than leather! I wondered if there were any of them. There ARE!! (Douglas, it's an absolutely glorious hat you have there!)
Oh yeah, on the grey Lightweight. I love that logo.
If you had said, "that art nouveau logo" I'd have known
what you meant. Wonder if any of those fine stores
still exist. I harbor fantasies of buying hats at Italian
fleamarkets...
I know what you mean about the hats we see here.
I'm glad we're creating some sort of record of these hats
so people can see what hats once were (and for a few
still are).
