Greetings!!!!

I recently have added to my hat collection by way of a second Borsalino Gruppo Doria. This would be a fedora that sits along with the previously purchased cap of the exact same pattern of cloth.
My question is: Where are these made, their history, etc?Internet searches turn up nil as regards this information.I adore the hats and they are of the perfect brown tone for me!!
Here is a photo of me and the fedora.Ignore the "bad" moustache as it didn't want to cooperate that day.

All responses would be appreciated:good or bad!!

It is a very nice hat and does look well on you. I have many Doria's myself, more caps than anything, and they are great. I don;t know how long Borsalino has been making them but they are made in Italy. Doria is the line of materials that they use to make the various caps that go along with them. Borsalino makes a few different levels of quality in their caps and cloth hats. I actually have a ivy shaped cap in that same pattern in a grey that I love to death but sadly it has seen its last days. Unless I can find someone to reline it and clean it but thats :eek:fftopic:.

That hats looks great on you. I dont think I could pull that look off, but on you it looks natural. I can remember my grand father wearing one something like that. I know it wasnt a Borsa but looked alot like it.

I also have an Ivy cap by B.G.D. and it's a great hat. The only problem was that the sides wouldn't sit flat, but I fixed that with a few strategically placed threads and now it looks fine. Oh, and I also concur with the general opinion-your moustache looks fine sir.

Doria by Borsalino

Doria is the name of the cap factory in Bari, Italy that was purchased by Borsalino a few years ago . There were two brothers who were named Doria that made all of the finest caps for companies in Italy . When they retired , Borsalin took over complete control of the factory . It is also where their straw hats are made .
We carry a complete line of them on our website and will be adding many more styles this week .

Wow, they're made in Bari! I could tell you some stories of that town. It is a very strange and exotic place, very industrial and very crowded.

I do like those hats. I'm unsure whether I could carry it as well.
