Hi, I have been buying my husband a few fedoras to get him off a bad doo-rag kick. I've bought a few 70s-style Sinatra hats, but I do want to get him a good Borsalino. I want to make sure I get one of the older ones. I have read all the threads I can find about Borsalino and if I see one on Ebay, I ask for pictures of the lining and label, but I am still unsure about which hats are truly 50s or older. Can anyone give me some advice? Can you get an idea of age by the labels? I would also like to know if anyone knows of good vintage hat sources and hat-care stores in the Austin, Tx area. We know about Texas Hatters, but wondered if there are others. Thanks!
