Boroslino question

Hi all -

Can anyone tell me if all older Borsolinos were 100% beaver felt?

I can't seem to find an answer to this one...

No, they werent . They did have a percentage of beaver in them but Borsalino didn't market them that way . Some of the hats were marked on the leather of the hat "Mink" , "Nutria", ect to tell what they were made of . If you want a Borsalino with some beaver in it , look for one that says "Castoro" on the lining .

Is it correct to assume that Borsalinos
lacking the word "Castoro" in the lining
do not contain beaver? Surely not?
I can't recall ever seeing the word in a Borsalino.
