I've been talking with Juan over at WWII Impressions about his 10" Corcoranns. I'm pretty much settled on anything made at Cove Boots because they are located in my home state of PA.
Thing is, I'm wanting to run these as winter "slosh to the office" boots. They need to be all-day comfy, tolerate a few miles of walking, and fit thick wool socks.
I normally wear a 12.5, slightly wider than D width.
By comparison, I've got a pair of Doc Martens (uk made) that I've had for going on 10 years now. They just recently became comfortable, but before that they were too narrow and too tight. Size 12. I couldn't wear anything more than dress socks with them. Now broken in, they fit great (length wise) but they still won't fit insoles.
So, should I go to a wider size to fit big insoles in my boots? or will they still be too loose?
