I'll Lock Up

I have a 2 piece CC41 suit that's surplus to requirements. It has never fit me quite right so it doesn't get as much use as it deserves. I will put up a complete note of the flaws it has when i get home tonight. But it is pretty much flawless. It may have a little moth hole here and there.
The jacket is 3-button front, peak lapels with 3 buttons at the cuff. "Fitted" waist gives that golden era silhouette.
I was never fully convinced that the trousers were original to the suit, but they came as a package and the fabrics (with a distinct diagonal weave) match so i guess they must have been. [huh] They have some quite "odd" features for trousers of this period, but this is the quirk of menswear sometimes. There are suspender buttons (of the typical black type usually associated with suits of the period) on the inside of the waistband which also features a gripping mechanism - you know, the lining that's made of some kind of elasticy material that's supposed to grip the shirt. This may have been added later. I'm pretty certain the pockets have been replaced also. The trousers remind me most of a pair of uniform trousers, to be honest. Possibly this guy had a uniform and jacket made from the same cloth in order to wear the same trousers when in civvies? [wild speculation mode: off] They are far more "contemporary" than any other trousers i've ever seen with a 40s suit. Flat front with waistband belt loops.
Jacket
Chest: 20"
Shoulder: 16.5"
Arm: 23"
Length: 28.25"
Trousers
Waist: 33"
Inseam: 28.25" (i'll add tonight how much they can come down.)
Outseam: 40"
Width at hem: Uncuffed. 8.5"
I'm asking £70 for the suit, with shipping to be determined. Please PM if you're interested.
